There are many considerations that go into the design of any home. A small garden suite or granny flat is no exception. Choosing how much space you need, how to use it and how to make it all work in an efficient and inexpensive fashion is a goal for anybody going about this task.
In this 2 hour session, you will learn about site preparation, floor layout and the efficient installation of utilities and overall cost of a super insulated R2000 type garden suite or granny flat!
About Our Speaker:
Jim Christiansen has been an educator for his entire adult life working in two provinces and overseas. He has instructed architectural and mechanical design, mathematics, sciences and programming in high schools and developed and coordinated Architectural and Mechanical Design competitions for Skills Canada, British Columbia for 10 years.
He and his wife have just settled in the Mayerthorpe area and completed construction of their own granny flat.
