Your library card is The Alberta Library (TAL) card. This means that as a member of Mayerthorpe Public Library, you may borrow and return books at any Alberta Library.If you lose your library card please contact the library immediately to avoid the unauthorized use of your library card.
If you move or change your phone number please notify us as soon as possible in order to keep you file up to date.To sign out items from our library, you must have your card present.

Your library card is:

• Non-transferable: only you may use your card. If you lose your card, please contact the library. We will issue you another card and change card information so that your card cannot be used illegally.
• Valid for one full year from the date of issue.Required to check-out items! Please remember to bring your card to the library. Keep it in a safe place so that it is handy when you need it.
• A key to online access. With your library card barcode and your four digit PIN number, you may search our catalogue and request or renew books, magazines, and audiotapes.

Overdue Fees

10 cents per day for overdue books, magazines, music CDs, and audiobooks.1o cents per day for video or DVD
Lost and damaged items have variable charges for replacement, depending on cost of the book and market value.When a card accumulates $10 or more in unpaid fines, it is automatically suspended from checking out more items.
